STRIVE U Team Leader - Weekday
STRIVE U provides post-secondary education and training to young adults with intellectual disabilities in the realms of residential, employment, and community skills with the goal of enabling its graduates to live and work as full community members with maximum independence, productivity, and dignity.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is committed to providing students with an inclusive post-secondary academic experience. Some responsibilities include implementing/teaching residential curriculum and provide support as assigned, understand and implement positive supports, take a leadership role during emergency/crisis situation, and ensure open lines of communication with all students and STRIVE U staff. The team lead will also be part of the rotation of staff for evening and weekend on-call system, act as a resource for staff, provide emotional supports and identify quality of life issues for students, and help establish a healthy, safe and fun learning environment.
This is a full-time, 39-hour position with hours that will be:
Mondays-Thursdays 1:30-9:30 pm
Fridays – 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
Education/Experience Requirements: Two years of college with two years proven experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
